Jimmy Choo Fall 2011 Campaign
Following in the footsteps (quite literally) of other well-established women’s footwear companies that have recently branched out into men’s shoes, Jimmy Choo has unveiled their first ad campaign featuring their new men’s offerings.
I may not be a big fan of Jimmy Choo shoes as of late, but it’s extremely difficult to go wrong with a Steven Meisel-shot ad campaign, now isn’t it? Particularly when that campaign also features supermodel Raquel Zimmerman and a hot male model caught in some Mad Men-era hotel hijinks.
Shot in midtown Manhattan’s iconic Waldorf Astoria hotel, the campaign was helmed by the prolific photographer Steven Meisel, who lent it a distinctly quirky yet luxurious aesthetic. The St. James Double Monkstrap black leather shoe was chosen to be featured in the campaign, worn elegantly by model Ben Hill. The reason why I wasn’t particularly excited about Mila Kunis’ look at the “Friends With Benefits” New York Premiere, is because I had already fallen head-over-heels in love with Emma Stone.
Something tells me she’s more into fashion than Mila, as Emma opted to wear this amazing Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 ensemble.
Her look consists of a red cashmere sweater and a pink silk peplum skirt which Emma teams with Christian Louboutins nude pumps and a bronze clutch.
Without intention she totally upstaged Mila.
Of the Giambattista Valli 50 piece Fall 2011 collection, I would’ve also picked this look for Emma as it’s a young, fun, vibrant, fashion-forward look which someone like Emma is both fashion savvy and confident enough to wear and pull off.

Okay, okay, so we’ve already seen Heidi Montag walk down the aisle once before (in a Balenciaga dress and louboutin shoes), and nearly pull the trigger in a more subdued dress at City Hall, but this weekend was the real deal (we think!) and the bride wore Monique Lhuillier. So she didn’t design her own dress, like she said she would, but Heidi officially became Mrs. Spencer Pratt at a ceremony in Pasadena yesterday, followed by a reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel (three guesses if there were reality TV cameras and tabloid photogs there to capture the action, and the first two guesses don’t count!). According to Lhuillier’s camp, Heidi chose “a stunning Monique Lhuillier custom designed strapless dropped waist ball gown with an intricate overlay of silk organza peacock feathers. Her waist was accentuated with a silk chiffon sash embellished with a floral motif composed of Swarovski crystals and pearls. To complete the look Heidi chose a chapel length heavily beaded Swarovski crystal veil.”
