My pair of discount christian louboutins, the “Very Prive,” which cost a very prive penny, are among, oh, five things I’d save in a fire—and they always go back in their dust bag after a night out, no matter how many glasses of champagne I’ve had. Celebrities, apparently, have no such worry.
British Vogue recently reported that Catherine Zeta-Jones buys her favorite shoes “in bulk,” so she’ll never be without them wherever she is in the world. Her homes in Los Angeles, Mallorca, Quebec, and Bermuda apparently house duplicates of each of her must-have stems, lest she get dressed and find the finishing touch is—gasp—halfway across the world. “The worst thing about having all these houses is that when I have an outfit and I think it’s going to look great with a certain pair of discount christian louboutinsshoes, they’re in Mallorca or Bermuda,” she said. Poor Catherine!
Now I don’t know about you, but the only things I buy “in bulk” are Calvin Klein cotton thongs, little boys’ Hanes tanks, and faux tortoise barrettes from the drugstore. I heart CZJ, but does this strike you guys as the ultimate celebrity indulgence or what?
christian louboutins Ballerina Heels
Ladies, are you sitting down? Because after glimpsing the staggering 8-inch heel christian louboutins designed for the English National Ballet–inspired by ballerina toe shoes and slated to be auctioned off at the ballet’s “Summer Party” tonight in London–you may need a breather. They’re definitely NSFT (Not Suitable For Toes), but still, you’ve got to check them out:
Remember the collaboration between Louboutin and filmmaker David Lynch? Louboutin’s “ballet” heels are like that, but with sparkles and fairy dust and Swan Lake-y vibes.
Agent Provocateur, Moschino, Erdem and seven other designers joined Louboutin in donating couture items to help raise money for the world-renowned dance company. While couture tutus are never going to be anything but insanely beautiful, it’s Louboutin’s jaw-dropping ballet heels that really stand, um, a foot above the rest.
Louboutin reasoned,”“I could not help being inspired by English National Ballet… after all…isn’t the classical dancing ballet slipper the ultimate heel? The heel which makes dancers closer than any other women to the sky, closer to heaven!”.” (Note to self: file that last bit away for when I’m faced with the “heels or flats?” decision.)
Now I know we gals – especially those of us who frequent the interwebs – have seen our share of boundary-shifting shoes, but these fetish-y ballet heels still make my jaw drop a leeetle bit. What do you think of these OMG-worthy shoes? If you were at the fundraising auction tonight (and had money to burn in your purse) how much would you pay for these 8-inch Loubs? The higher the heel the higher the price tag, is that how it works?
